Yuuki Miaka is in the middle of high school exams when she and her best friend Yue are pulled into the world of "The Universe of Four Gods", a book that takes place in ancient China. The events tear their friendship, as each is placed as a priestess of one of the four gods, and must gather their Seishi, or protectors, to summon them.
